Cole Surber is a left guard for the Virginia Cavaliers who stands 6'5" and weighs 305 pounds. A native of Bristow, Virginia, Surber was a two-time team captain at Patriot High School, where he earned first-team all-state honors and recorded over 40 pancake blocks as a senior while allowing just one sack across 13 games. He committed to Virginia as the first recruit in the Cavaliers' 2023 class. Surber redshirted in 2023 before making his collegiate debut at Coastal Carolina on September 21, 2024. In 2025, he has appeared in three games, including contests against Coastal Carolina (Aug. 30), William & Mary (Sept. 13), and Virginia Tech (Nov. 29). He is a three-time ACC Academic Honor Roll selection.
