Brandyn Hillman is a 6'0", 190-pound safety from Portsmouth, Virginia, who attended Churchland High School. A four-star recruit in the 2023 class, Hillman played three seasons at Michigan before transferring to Virginia. In 2025 at Michigan, he started 12 games and recorded 49 total tackles with 31 solo efforts, one interception in the season opener against New Mexico, three pass breakups, and a forced fumble. He earned Honorable Mention All-Big Ten honors and co-Defensive Player of the Week recognition. Hillman also started and made a tackle in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl against Texas on December 31.
