Nathan Totten is a punter/kickoff specialist who transferred to Virginia Tech from Marshall. The 6'1", 231-pound Ashland, Kentucky native redshirted in 2023 before becoming a primary kickoff contributor in 2024, recording 40 kickoffs for 2,563 yards with 28 touchbacks while converting four of six field goal attempts and going 8-for-8 on extra points. In 2025, Totten punted 56 times for 2,551 yards, including 19 boots of 50-plus yards and 20 downed inside the 20-yard line, establishing Marshall's single-season punting average record at 45.6 yards per attempt and earning All-Sun Belt Second Team honors. A two-time All-State selection in high school, Totten is pursuing a major in consumer studies.
