Knahlij Harrell is a sophomore nickelback for Virginia Tech from Virginia Beach, Virginia. He attended Green Run High School, where he was a four-year letterman and two-time team captain. As a senior, he recorded 28 tackles, four tackles for loss, and an interception while also accumulating over 700 receiving yards and six touchdowns. During his junior year, he tallied 30 tackles, six breakups, and three interceptions as Green Run reached the regional championship. Harrell received three-star ratings from multiple recruiting services and was ranked among the top safeties nationally. In 2025, he appeared in eight games and made three tackles for the Hokies.
