Josh Jones is a defensive back for Virginia Tech from Aldie, Virginia, where he attended John Champe High School under head coach Lee Carter. As a senior, he recorded 53 tackles (29 solo), three interceptions, one forced fumble, and nine pass breakups, earning first team all-district and first team all-region honors while leading John Champe to a district championship. Jones also competed in basketball as an all-district and all-region selection. He redshirted during the 2024 season and did not appear in games during 2025.
