Jason Abbey is a 6'3", 256-pound right defensive end from Richmond, Virginia, who attended Douglas S. Freeman High School as a three-year letterman. A three-star recruit in the 2023 class, Abbey appeared in four games during his initial season in 2023. He took the field in all 13 games in 2024, recording seven tackles with 1.5 TFLs and 0.5 sacks. In 2025, Abbey played in 11 games with one start, accumulating 18 tackles (7 solo), 2.5 TFLs, and 2.0 sacks. He returns as a redshirt junior for the Hokies.
