Mason Carter is a 6'5", 251-pound right defensive end for Vanderbilt who hails from Baldwin High School in Jacksonville, Florida. A three-star recruit in the 2024 class, he was ranked 45th among edge rushers nationally by recruiting services and 100th by national outlets. During his freshman season in 2024, Carter made his collegiate debut against Alcorn State and earned SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. As a sophomore in 2025, he appeared in all 13 games, recording three total tackles and one quarterback hit. Carter is a returning athlete who also competes in basketball and track and field.
