Makhilyn Young is a running back for Vanderbilt from Midland, Texas. Young attended Midland Legacy High School, where he ran for 2,125 yards and 36 touchdowns as a senior while adding 26 receptions for 389 yards and two scores. He played two seasons at New Mexico State before joining the Commodores. In his final season with the Aggies, Young appeared in 11 games, recording 28 carries for 191 yards and two touchdowns, including a 31-yard rushing score against Western Illinois.
