Jalen Gilbert is a safety for the Vanderbilt Commodores. A three-star recruit from Round Rock, Texas, Gilbert arrived on campus in 2023 after receiving offers from Washington State, West Virginia, Arizona State, and UNLV. He appeared in two games during his freshman year and made the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll. In 2024, Gilbert played all 13 contests and earned SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. As a junior in 2025, he appeared in all 13 games with three total tackles and two pass breakups, including production against Georgia State, Utah State, and Tennessee.
