Jailen Ruth is a 6'3", 225-pound weak-side linebacker from Hawthorne, Florida, where he was a unanimous three-star prospect with an 85.47 rating from the recruiting services Industry Composite. Ruth enrolled at Vanderbilt in January 2023 after his high school senior season, during which he recorded 27 tackles for loss and 19 sacks across 10 games. He appeared in four games as a freshman in 2023. During his sophomore year in 2024, Ruth played in all 13 contests and tallied six tackles, including two against Alcorn State, while logging 148 special teams plays. Now a redshirt junior, he recorded two total tackles and one fumble recovery in 2025.
