Cade McConnell is a 6'5", 323-pound quarterback/guard from Choctaw, Oklahoma, where he was a consensus three-star recruit rated the No. 10 prospect in Oklahoma by Rivals and No. 43 offensive lineman nationally by recruiting services. He did not appear in games during two seasons at Minnesota (2022-23) before joining Vanderbilt. As a junior in 2024, McConnell played in 12 games, logging 61 offensive snaps including 22 at center, and recorded a career-high 79.4 Pass Block grade in the win over Alcorn State. He also contributed 28 snaps on special teams.
