Johnny Bowens III is a 6'3", 300-pound defensive tackle from Converse, TX, who transferred to UTSA from Oregon. A consensus four-star prospect ranked 209th nationally in the 2023 class, Bowens appeared in three games as a true freshman for the Ducks in 2023, recording two tackles. After missing the 2024 season due to injury, he returned in 2025 to appear in all 13 contests, posting five total tackles, three quarterback hurries, and one pass breakup.
