Joel Rogers is a free safety for UTSA who transferred from LSU. The 6'0", 200-pound defender from St. Francisville, Louisiana played in 14 games across two seasons at LSU, appearing in 12 contests in 2025. He recorded a pair of stops against Alabama and notched a solo tackle in a 56-10 victory over Southeastern Louisiana. Rogers was a consensus four-star recruit ranked No. 17 nationally at safety and No. 8 overall in Louisiana by Rivals. At West Feliciana High School, he played quarterback and led his team to a 13-1 record and district championship while accumulating 1,610 total yards and 21 touchdowns in 2022. Rogers also competed in track and field, posting a 22.42-second 200-meter time and a 22-7 long jump.
