Isaiah Butler-Tanner is a 6'6", 265-pound tight end for UTSA, wearing number 86. The Killeen, Texas native played at Shoemaker High School, where he earned two first-team all-district honors at the position. As a senior in 2024, he caught 15 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns while helping the Grey Wolves reach the Class 6A playoffs first round. Butler-Tanner also competed in track and field, finishing fourth at the 2025 state meet in the discus after placing fifth regionally with a throw of 150-10. He appeared in five contests during the 2025 season, including the First Responder Bowl victory over FIU and wins against Charlotte and East Carolina. A three-star recruit, he is a kinesiology major.
