Jamal Frilot is a 6'3", 230-pound tight end from Houston, Texas who attended Dekaney HS. A three-star recruit, he registered 53 tackles (34 solo) with 9.0 tackles for loss as a senior in 2024, adding a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, a blocked punt, an interception and a pass breakup. During his junior year in 2023, he posted 54 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks with an interception while helping lead Dekaney to an 8-3 record (6-1 in district). Frilot also competed in track and field. He missed the 2025 season due to injury and is returning to UTEP as a redshirt freshman.
