Jay Harper is a junior defensive back for UL Monroe from Valley, Alabama. He began his college career at Wisconsin in 2024 as a redshirt freshman. Harper transferred to the Warhawks and appeared in eight games during the 2025 season with one start, recording two tackles against Northwestern on October 4 and one tackle in his starting debut versus Old Dominion on November 1. At Valley High School, he earned 2023 Defensive Back and Special Teams Player of the Year honors after posting 61 tackles and three interceptions as a senior.
