David Applewhite is a junior offensive lineman for UL Monroe, wearing number 55. The 6'4", 305-pound lineman hails from Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and attended Phoebus High School in Hampton, Virginia, where he lettered in football playing offensive tackle and guard. As a freshman in 2024, Applewhite appeared in one game against James Madison on October 5. In 2025, his sophomore season, he took the field in five contests, facing Saint Francis, Northwestern, Coastal Carolina, Old Dominion, and the Ragin' Cajuns.
