Ty Chan is a 6'5", 320-pound right tackle from Lowell, Massachusetts who attended Lawrence Academy before committing to Notre Dame as a four-star recruit. At Notre Dame, he appeared in 12 games during 2024, primarily on special teams, and played in two games during his redshirt freshman year in 2023 with a Joe Moore Award semifinalist offensive line unit. Chan transferred to UConn with two seasons of eligibility remaining. In 2025, he appeared in all 13 games with nine starts at guard positions. The offensive line he anchored ranked 15th nationally in sacks allowed per game at 1.23 and 3.77 tackles for loss per game, while UConn's passing offense averaged 284.4 yards per game and rushing attack averaged 160.8 yards per game.
