Shamar Porter is a 6'3" wide receiver from Nashville, Tennessee who transferred to UConn from Kentucky. A four-star recruit ranked as the No. 29 wide receiver nationally in the 2023 class, Porter redshirted at Kentucky before arriving at UConn with four years of eligibility. In his 2024 redshirt-freshman season, he appeared in 12 games and recorded six receptions for 113 yards and three touchdowns. During the 2025 season, Porter played all 12 games, posting 18 receptions for 234 yards and one touchdown, with a season-long catch of 56 yards against Florida Atlantic on November 22.
