Matt Hoffman is a 6'5", 250-pound right defensive end from Wyncote, Pennsylvania, who attended Cheltenham High School. At Cheltenham, Hoffman recorded 7.0 sacks, 38 solo tackles, and 57 total tackles across eight games during his senior year, earning First Team All-Conference honors at both tight end and defensive end as well as First Team All-Area recognition at tight end. He redshirted during the 2023 freshman season after appearing in one game and recording a tackle in UConn's win over Sacred Heart on November 18. In 2025, Hoffman registered 22 total tackles, 13 solo tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one pass defensed, one quarterback hurry, and one fumble recovery. He returns for his redshirt junior season with the Huskies.
