Ta'Shawn James is a safety who transferred to UCLA for the 2026 season after three years at Iowa State. The Oklahoma City native appeared in 26 games for the Cyclones (2023-25), recording 33 tackles and five pass breakups in 2025 before suffering a season-ending injury in late October. During his 2024 campaign, he played in all 14 contests with two starts, accumulating 41 tackles and a forced fumble. His most productive game came against Kansas on Nov. 9 with 10 tackles. James redshirted his true freshman year in 2023 after playing in four games.
