Sahir West is a 6'3", 279-pound left defensive end from Baltimore, Maryland, who transferred to UCLA after two seasons at James Madison. At Mount St. Joseph's HS, he earned First Team All-Metro honors as a senior and posted 71 tackles with 11.0 tackles for loss and 8.0 sacks. West redshirted in 2024 after appearing in two games, then broke out in 2025 as a redshirt freshman at JMU, recording 45 tackles (16 solo), 14.0 tackles for loss, and 7.0 sacks while earning First Team Freshman All-American and Sun Belt Freshman of the Year honors. He started all 14 games and set a Sun Belt Championship Game record with 5.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks against Troy on December 5, 2025, helping the Dukes secure a CFP berth.
