Maxwell Roy is a 6'3", 320-pound defensive lineman who transferred to UCLA after spending the 2025 season at Ohio State. A consensus four-star recruit from St. Joseph's Preparatory School in Philadelphia, Roy was ranked as the 33rd defensive line prospect nationally and the No. 9 overall prospect from Pennsylvania by recruiting services, with national outlets listing him as the 21st defensive line recruit in the country. At Ohio State, he redshirted during his true freshman year without appearing in game action. Beyond football, Roy competed in wrestling and track and field as a thrower in high school, where he won multiple state championships.
