Mateo Orosco is a true freshman placekicker for the UCLA Bruins from San Diego, California. He attended Del Norte High School, where he was recognized among the top kickers in his recruiting class and earned selection to the Polynesian Bowl following his senior season. At 6'0" and 173 pounds, Orosco joined UCLA after being drawn to the program's coaching philosophy and team culture. During UCLA's 2026 Spring Game at the Rose Bowl, he connected on a 57-yard field goal, which he identifies as a notable early highlight.
