Leland Smith is a 6'4", 218-pound wide receiver from Houston, Texas, who attended Strake Jesuit College Prep before beginning his college career at Fullerton College in 2023. As a true freshman, he recorded 26 receptions for 655 yards and nine touchdowns across nine games and earned Third Team All-American honors. Smith transferred to Purdue for the 2024 season, appearing in all 12 games and posting six catches for 72 yards and two touchdowns in his Big Ten debut. He joined San Jose State in 2025, earning All-Mountain West Honorable Mention after recording 43 receptions, 688 receiving yards, and three touchdowns—the eighth-most catches in the conference. He has played in 24 FBS games and now transfers to UCLA as a senior.
