Background & career

Artavius Jones is a 6'3", 305-pound redshirt sophomore defensive tackle at UCF, having transferred from Miami. A consensus four-star prospect in the 2024 class, he was ranked No. 191 overall in the composite recruiting rankings and No. 109 by national outlets. Jones made his college debut for Miami against Florida A&M on September 7, 2024, and appeared in one game during the 2025 season against NC State on November 15. In his high school senior season at Blountstown, he recorded 58 tackles with 13.5 for loss, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble. He was also a multi-sport athlete, competing in basketball and track and field.
