Samuel Riddy is a 6'5", 330-pound offensive lineman from North Charleston, South Carolina, who transferred to UAB as a redshirt junior. A three-star recruit in the 2024 class, Riddy attended North Charleston High School, where he was a three-year letterman and three-sport athlete. At East Carolina in 2024, he redshirted before moving to the offensive line midway through the season. His high school career included 21 games on defense with 112 snaps, 57 solo tackles, 21.0 tackles for loss, and 5.0 sacks. As a senior, he recorded 59 tackles and 15.0 tackles for loss. Riddy also caught 12 passes for 130 yards in high school.
