Payton Kirkland is a 6'6", 315-pound left tackle from Orlando, Florida, who attended Dr. Phillips High School. A three-star recruit in the 2023 class, he played all four seasons under head coach Rodney Wells and earned All-America and all-metro honors as a senior. Kirkland was selected to the 2023 All-American Bowl and made MaxPreps All-America teams in 2020 and 2021. He transferred to UAB after spending time at Colorado and Texas without appearing in game action. Kirkland is a redshirt junior/transfer for the Blazers in 2026.
