Ian Mayes is a left guard for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. The 6'3", 300-pound sophomore from Grand Prairie, Texas attended Arlington Bowie High School, where he was a three-year starter and letterwinner on the offensive line. He earned First-Team All-District honors and Offensive Lineman of the Year accolades in both his junior and senior seasons, helping lead his team to an 8-4 record and the second round of the playoffs as a senior. Mayes made his collegiate debut on October 4, 2025 against Memphis and earned his first start on November 8, 2025 against FAU. Through seven games and four starts in 2025, he contributed to Tulsa's offensive line as the team averaged 175.5 rushing yards per game and 397.9 yards per game in total offense.
