Ty Thompson is a tight end from Gilbert, Arizona who attended Mesquite High School, where he was rated as a consensus top-100 recruit. He joined Oregon as a four-star recruit and appeared in games during the 2021, 2022, and 2023 seasons before transferring to Tulane in spring 2024. In 2024, Thompson played in 12 games and started the Gasparilla Bowl against Florida, completing 17 of 40 passes for 199 yards and three touchdowns while rushing 49 times for 260 yards and six touchdowns. He was selected to the Allstate Goodworks Team in 2025 and remains a preseason candidate for the Wuerffel Trophy.
