Jaylin Lucas is a running back from Houma, Louisiana, who attended Edna Karr High School before beginning his college career at Indiana in 2022. As a true freshman, he earned First-Team All-American honors as a kick returner and was named Big Ten Return Specialist of the Year. Over two seasons with the Hoosiers, Lucas appeared in 23 games with eight starts, accumulating 2,052 all-purpose yards including 1,163 on kickoff returns with three touchdowns. He transferred to Florida State for the 2024 season but appeared in only two games before suffering a season-ending injury. Lucas joined Tulane as a transfer for 2025, appearing in all 12 games with 27 carries for 160 yards, 11 receptions for 88 yards, and 221 kickoff return yards.
