Ty Clemons is a senior defensive tackle from Decatur, Alabama, who transferred to Troy from Boston College. A three-star recruit at Sparkman High School, he recorded 84 tackles and nine sacks as a senior. At Boston College, Clemons appeared in four games as a true freshman in 2021 before redshirting the remainder of that season. He missed the 2023 season due to injury and received a medical hardship. In 2024, he played in seven games and recorded four tackles, including a 55-yard interception return for a touchdown against Pittsburgh. During the 2025 season, Clemons appeared in six games with six tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack, and one quarterback hit before missing the final six games due to injury.
