Luke Hodge, a 6'2" 220-pound senior linebacker from Oneonta, Alabama, joined Troy as a redshirt freshman in 2023 after sitting out his first year. He appeared in all 14 games on special teams in 2023, logging 139 snaps across four units. During his sophomore season in 2024, Hodge shifted focus to special teams leadership, recording 218 snaps—a team high—while adding five defensive tackles. In 2025, Hodge recorded 42 total tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss while playing in all 14 games, earning Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week honors following Troy's near upset at Clemson, where he forced a fumble and deflected a pass leading to a pick six.
