Jywon Boyd is a 6'0", 178-pound wide receiver and return specialist for Troy. The Troy, Alabama native attended Charles Henderson HS, where he was a two-time all-state selection. As a senior, he caught 62 passes for 1,025 yards and 14 touchdowns while adding 332 rushing yards and four scores on 39 carries. He also accumulated 289 punt return yards with two touchdowns and 398 kickoff return yards and two touchdowns. In 2024, Boyd redshirted after playing two snaps against Arkansas State. During his 2025 freshman season, he appeared in 10 games, primarily on special teams with 37 punt return snaps and 18 kickoff return snaps, while recording three Scout Team Player of the Week honors on offense.
