Daivon Nelson is a 6'3", 203-pound safety for the Troy Trojans. The South Phoenix, Arizona native attended Marcos De Niza High School, where he was a three-year starter and team captain, recording three interceptions and 20 pass break-ups. Nelson played at Hutchinson CC before joining Troy, where he earned a KJCC conference title while posting an interception, nine pass break-ups, 19 tackles and three tackles for loss. In 2025, his redshirt junior season, Nelson appeared in eight games with 101 snaps on special teams, totaling two tackles. He started on kickoff return, kickoff coverage and punt return units over the final eight weeks of the season.
