Tyrell Anthony Russell is a cornerback for the Toledo Rockets standing 5'11" and weighing 175 pounds. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Russell attended Beechcroft High School as a three-star recruit. During his senior season, he recorded 94 carries totaling 745 yards with eight rushing touchdowns, added 30 receptions for 450 yards and two receiving scores, and posted 16 tackles on defense including one interception and one pick-six. Russell redshirted in 2025 while retaining freshman eligibility and currently returns to the roster with sophomore status.
