Spencer Shannon is a 6'7" tight end for the Texas Longhorns from San Clemente, California. He attended Mater Dei High School, where he was part of the 2021 Open Division state championship team and caught three passes for 55 yards as a senior. Shannon has appeared in 28 career games with three starts at Texas. During the 2025 season, he played in all 13 games with three starts, including his first career start against UTEP on September 13 and his first road start at Florida on October 4. He saw action against Oklahoma, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Michigan in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl. In 2024, he played in 15 games primarily on special teams as a redshirt freshman.
