A four-star recruit ranked 39th overall in the 2024 class, Wingo earned 2026 Phil Steele preseason First-Team SEC and Third-Team All-America honors, along with Coaches' All-SEC Second Team recognition in 2025. In his sophomore season, he started all 13 games and recorded 54 receptions for 834 yards and 7 touchdowns, averaging 15.4 yards per reception.
