Markus Boswell is a sophomore linebacker for Texas, standing 6'1" and weighing 229 pounds. The Austin, Texas native transferred to the Longhorns from Akron in spring 2026 after playing high school football at Lake Travis and Jireh Prep. During his true freshman season at Akron in 2025, Boswell took the field in 11 contests, recording 19 tackles (six solo), one sack for 14 yards, one interception, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. He made his college debut versus Wyoming on August 28, registering a tackle and interception.
