Jake Collett is a true freshman placekicker for the Texas Longhorns from Ringgold, Georgia, where he attended Heritage High School. Listed as a three-star recruit by recruiting services, Collett earned 2024 Atlanta Journal Constitution AAA All-State honors as a punter. During his junior season, he connected on 6-of-9 field goal attempts, including makes from 52, 49, 39, 38, 21 and 20 yards. He recorded 41 kickoffs for 2,542 yards at 62.0 average with 23 touchbacks and a long of 70 yards, and punted 26 times for 1,066 yards at 41.0 average, pinning opponents inside the 20-yard line eight times. Collett also played varsity baseball at Heritage HS.
