Terrance Carter Jr., a 6'2", 245-pound tight end from Killeen, Texas, transferred to Texas Tech after three seasons at Louisiana. During his 2024 sophomore year with the Ragin' Cajuns, he started all 13 games and recorded 48 receptions for 689 yards and four touchdowns, earning All-Sun Belt first-team honors. In his 2025 junior season with the Red Raiders, Carter appeared in 13 of 14 games and started 12, catching 55 passes for 624 yards and five touchdowns while adding two rushing carries for 24 yards. He was named All-Big 12 second team and ranked fifth nationally among tight ends in receiving yards.
