Luke Hamilton is a cornerback from Fayetteville, North Carolina, who attended New Braunfels Canyon High School in Texas. Over three prep seasons, he totaled 103 tackles, eight pass breakups and three forced fumbles while playing both receiver and corner and returning punts. As a senior, he earned first-team All-District 29-6A honors after recording 38 total tackles and two fumble recoveries. A two-sport athlete, Hamilton qualified for the Class 6A state track meet in the 300-meter hurdles as a sophomore, posting a school record of 38.49 seconds at regionals. A consensus three-star recruit, he committed to Texas Tech on January 18, 2025, and joined the Red Raiders as a mid-year enrollee in January 2026, entering his first season.
