Marcus Ratcliffe is a 6'2", 209-pound safety from Chula Vista, California, who transferred to Texas A&M after one season at San Diego State in 2023. At Cathedral Catholic, he earned consensus three-star status and was named the program's outstanding freshman for defense after registering 50 tackles, one interception, and one pass breakup across 12 games. In his first year with the Aggies (2024), Ratcliffe appeared in all 13 games with 12 starts, posting 48 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, and one blocked kick while earning defensive newcomer of the year. During the 2025 season, he played all 13 games with 12 starts, finishing second on the team with 65 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and two quarterback hurries across 818 snaps. He currently serves as a team captain and returning starting safety.
