The 6'3", 215-pound receiver from Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia was a consensus four-star prospect and ranked among the top receivers nationally. As a true freshman in 2025, Smith appeared in seven games and recorded three receptions for 29 yards, with a long of 13 yards. He made his debut against Syracuse on August 30, played in the home opener versus ETSU where he caught two passes for 20 yards, and saw action in subsequent contests including the Music City Bowl against Illinois on December 30.
