Javonte Smith is a true freshman left cornerback for the Tennessee Volunteers who stands 6'0" and weighs 183 pounds. The Jackson, Tennessee native from North Side High School committed to the Vols in July 2025 after receiving six Power 4 offers alongside four additional Division I opportunities. A consensus three-star recruit, Smith compiled 48 receptions for 884 yards and eight touchdowns during his 2024 senior season, adding 118 rushing yards and one touchdown. Defensively, he recorded 21 tackles, four interceptions with two returned for scores, and one kick return touchdown.
