Carson Gentle is a 6'3", 265-pound defensive end from Chattanooga, Tennessee, who attended McCallie School. A three-star recruit ranked 920th nationally, he enrolled at Tennessee in summer 2024 and redshirted his freshman season in 2024 after appearing in three games. As a redshirt sophomore in 2025, Gentle saw action in all 13 games and totaled three tackles, including one solo stop against ETSU on 9/6. He also recorded 0.5 tackles for loss versus UAB on 9/20 and contributed on special teams. Gentle is a two-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member entering his third season with the program.
