John Hoyet Chance is a kicker and punter from Shreveport, Louisiana, who prepped at Captain Shreve High School. At Louisiana Tech in 2025, the sophomore appeared in all games, executing 64 kickoffs with 57 touchbacks and punting 66 times for a 47.27-yard average, including a 72-yard punt against Liberty and 28 punts inside the 20-yard line. He made his college debut as a freshman in the Independence Bowl against Army on December 28, 2024, recording three kickoffs for 195 yards with all three resulting in touchbacks.
