Caleb Cortez is a linebacker for TCU standing 6'0" and weighing 225 pounds. A native of Celina, TX, he earned All-District recognition as a senior at Celina High School while helping lead the Bobcats to a Class 4A semifinal appearance. He was also named an academic All-State honoree and National Honor Society member. Cortez began his college career at William Jewell College, where he appeared in seven games as a sophomore in 2023, recording four stops and one blocked kick, and saw action in four games during his freshman year in 2022 with three tackles. He transferred to TCU and did not appear in games during the 2025 season. Cortez is a redshirt junior returning for the 2026 season.
