Zach Rice is a right guard from Lynchburg, Virginia, who transferred to Syracuse in spring 2025 after appearing in 27 games at North Carolina. Rice was ranked the nation's No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2022 recruiting class. At North Carolina, he appeared in every game during the 2024 season, playing all 16 offensive snaps at right guard while allowing no sacks, hits, or hurries according to Pro Football Focus. In 2023, he appeared in 12 games primarily on special teams. Rice made his Syracuse debut against Colgate on 9/12 and also appeared against Duke on 9/27 during the 2025 season.
