Nazir Ward is a 6'0", 185-pound left cornerback from Miami Northwestern High School in Miami, Florida. A three-star recruit in the 2023 class, Ward played three seasons at Western Kentucky before transferring to Syracuse in January 2026. During his 2025 redshirt sophomore campaign, he appeared in all games and recorded 34 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, one interception (returned 12 yards), and six pass breakups. His most productive outing came against FIU on October 14, when he posted a career-high seven tackles along with 0.5 sacks and 0.5 tackles for loss. Ward majors in Communication & Rhetorical Studies.
